Ribbon Cutting for New Welcome Center, Chamber Offices
A Ribbon Cutting was held on July 23 at the new St. Marys Welcome Center and offices of the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce, Marienstadt Corporation and St. Marys Area Economic Development Corporation located at 53 S. St. Marys Street.
Shown in the photo above cutting the ribbon are Chamber Executive Director Sally Wilson, EDC Executive Director Ray Klaiber, and Marienstadt Treasurer Ray Beimel.
Also shown are members of each organizations' board of directors; Elk County Commissioners Dan Freeburg and Ron Beimel; Mayor Sally Geyer and City Councilmen Tom Farley, Rick Gabler and Steve Skok; representatives from the offices of Congressman John Peterson, Senator Joseph Scarnati and Representative Dan Surra; Howard Brush of the Governor's NW Regional Office; the Elk County Planning Office; Paula Eddy of the Elk County Community Foundation, Don Valone & Neil Hoffman of Northwest Savings Bank; Rob Norlin of PA Construction; Meagan Andrus,Chamber Secretaryand Max Brady of National City Bank.
A luncheon for those attending followed. An open house for the general public was then held from 1:00-3:00 pm. Wes Meyer, Chamber President acknowledged all who helped throughout the past year to bring this project to fruition.
