Ribbon Cutting for New Welcome Center, Chamber Offices
A Ribbon Cutting was held on July 23 at the new St. Marys Welcome Center and offices of the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce, Marienstadt Corporation and St. Marys Area Economic Development Corporation located at 53 S. St. Marys Street.
Shown in the photo above cutting the ribbon are Chamber Executive Director Sally Wilson, EDC Executive Director Ray Klaiber, and Marienstadt Treasurer Ray Beimel.

A luncheon for those attending followed. An open house for the general public was then held from 1:00-3:00 pm. Wes Meyer, Chamber President acknowledged all who helped throughout the past year to bring this project to fruition.

2007 Business of the Year Awards Presented at SMACC's 24th Annual Dinner
Straub Brewery, Salter Communications take 2007 Business of the Year Honors
Straub Brewery and Salter Communications, SMACC's 2007 Businesses of the Year, were honored at the Chamber's 24th Annual Dinner, held at the Red Fern on Saturday, February 9.
Straub Brewery was named the 2007 Large Business of the Year and Salter Communication received the award for 2007 Small Business of the Year.
The awards were presented by Chamber President Wes Meyer and Chamber Executive Director Sally Wilson.
Also recognized were Sheetz, runner-up for Large Business of the Year, and Village Peddler, runner-up for Small Business of the Year.
